The college was restructured into a technical college in the 2000 academic year, adding 2-year programs and a senior college in-service of the continuing education department. In the 2002 academic year, it added 4-year programs, and at that time the college had two departments and one faculty, namely the department of hotel management, the department of food & beverage management and the faculty of hospitality and tourism management. In the 2003 academic year, the institute of hospitality management was founded, and in 2004 the department of marketing management was set up, while the department of continuing education also set up 4-year and 2-year programs in the department of hotel and the department of food & beverage management, and a 2-year professional hotel department and a food & beverage management faculty. In the 2006 academic year, the department of foreign languages was established. Finally, in the 2009 academic year, the institute of hospitality and tourism education was founded and the original department of applied foreign languages was divided into the department of applied English and the department of applied Japanese, which provides more channels for ambitious students in hospitality and tourism education to achieve their wishes.
As for our strategy implementation, it starts from a faith in humanistic concern and then actively develops the core values of humanity, professionalism, entrepreneurship and internationalization of the college, while integrating theory and practice to become the source for hospitality and tourism skills, a key partner for businesses and a new model for hospitality and tourism education. This strategy will prove that the college’s cultivation ideas and directions are in accordance with the modern and vigorous development of domestic hospitality and tourism education.
